From December 6 to December 22, 1989, three employees, Mr. MURAYABASHI, Mr. NOGAMI and Mr. OKAKURA, from our sister plant, Hikone, visited Gastonia. They worked with our Twisting personnel to prepare three model twisters. As a result of this work, a work plam was developed for waste reduction in Twisting. Twisting management will be issuing monthly updates on their progress. Due to the cutback in automobile production the requirements for tire cord are lower thcin 2inticipated. One way to overcome this deficit is to increase our productivity etnd reduce our waste and rework. We will keep you posted on the future requirements.
