PLANT MANAGER’S MESSAGE
By: J. Anand
The new contract was signed Friday,
December 13th. All concerned are to
be commended for a successful
conclusion of contract negotiations.
In addition to our regular Christmas
shutdown week we will be shutdown
December 30 and 31. This schedule is
necessary due to tire plant demand
levels being low. Based on the
forecast our hope is that demand will
pick up in 1992.
I wish everyone a Merry Christmas
and a safe and Happy New Year.

SAFETY NEWS
By; Bill Passmore
The Safety Teams and I would like to
wish you a safe and happy holiday
season.
We have had a better year in safety
at this facility than in the past
several years. At this time we are
below our incident rate goal of 5.5.
Let's make 1992 a great year for
working safely.
SAFETY SENSE
Machines, they have no feelings
and they wouldn't mind at all to
bite a piece of you off and spit
on the wall.
I know this sounds a little gross
and possibly profane, but it's
happened here before and yes, it
could again.
Accidents do happen, that's a
sorry fact that's true. The
best way to avoid them is really
up to you.
No one has an answer to cover all
events, but the first word in
safety is Simply Common Sense.
