Miss Carrie Lee Weaver
As T/e visit with you again, ive would like to tell you
a little more about our special devotional programs which
Vie are having at Sunday School,
Charles Forney, Jr. and his class of boys and young
men had a spledid program for us to enjoy, Mr, Putnm, our Superintendent, had pro-
r.\ised us that we would have a surprise, and really, v^e did. It v;as in the form of
special music by Royal Champion, member of the class, and his Dad, (V/e v;ish they
would surprise us again,)'
Mrs, Grover Eskridge, together with the Intermediate girls which make up hfer
class, gave us some thoughts for meditation. Then three members of their class,
Patsy Osborne, Marjorie Brackett, and Carolyn Richards gave several special select‘d
ions in song,
J. B. Brackett*s Class of Junior beys did their part. They gave us their pro
gram and then vje were favCTcd by a special quartet from Shelby, We are always glad
to have visitors with us ^nd especially glo-d when they talce a part in our programs.
They sing in honor of you, "*i’/hen our Boys come Home,”
Mrs. Rollins and her class of smaller boys and girls are alv/ays ready to do
their part, too. It’s very interesting to see how eager the little folk are and how
nice they give their readings, songs, or whatever their teacher asks th6m to do. They
don’t seem to care'who or how many folk are listening and v/atching them.
Rev, Suttle is with us this week in revival services, V/e’re trusting the Lord
to lead and bless the efforts put forth for the advancement of His work.
In closing lot us think together about some of the groat old Hymns,,, "l/Vhat a
Friend We have in Jesus” - "More about Jesus Would I Xnciv” - ”Just v;hen I need Him-
Jesus is Near" - "Onward Christian Soldiers", Truly they are thou^ts from God's

mess of pottage. Our efforts to find economic and national security are often evi
dences that we hunger for a deeper security which’ only God can give.
However, we are not to be unduly discouraged, for there is still open to each'of
us the experience of a quiet heart, Christ said, "Consider the lilies of the field,
how they grow; they toil not, neither do they^ spin; yet Solomon in all his glory was
