I think it is one of the finest things that the folks back horac can do for the benefit of our boys and cirls vjho are seivinc in the Armed Forces of our Country over all the. world. I .am proud of the fine cjid patriotic! support that the folks in and around Lawndale are giving to the war effort md to those who are making the real sacrifice for the preservation of our Homeland. Too, I am confident'that nothing can give courage, and enthusiasm to our sol diers, sailors, and marines better than a feeling on their part that the home folks are really and earnestly doing what they can to hasten vic tory nnd their return to their homes. You folks at Lawndale are doing just that and I know that every one of our boys and girls in the service has a feeling of pride and joy in the fact that this fine spirit of loyalty prevails back hone, -. All of us are anxious to see them return to this community and to their former jobs and vocations, feeling and knowing that each of then has done a great job in a great v;ay and* added glory to the history of our fine community, I wish to congratulate you and your cp—workers in this fine work and if I could, I would send greetings to all those who are in the service. With best wishes, I am, Sincerely yours, A. A.
