Dear Boys: Many, many things of vital interest to all of us have happened since my last letter to you, and I wish you to know that all of our thoughts have been with you and the big job you are doing in France and on all other fronts. Our boys have proven to be the great soldiers we kn.w they were, and you are re ceiving the praises of the world for your' gallantry. We are immensely proud of you, every one of you, and pray daily for your safetj'- and success, ©le road may be long and hard, but you are going to travel it, and no power on earth can stop you. We KN0V7 this, and arc backing you up 100^ as you will realize fully when you see .the re sults of the 5th War Loan, which will b6 subscribed, probably with much to spare, and we will do anything else in our power to help you. Our only regret is that we cannot be over there to share your hardships with you. We are making up a large order of duck yam at the present time, and hear that it is to be used in the manufacture of shelter tents, so you may lie doim to sleep some ni^t under the cloth made from yarn' spim in your old home town. This might^ appear to be improbable but such things happen. We'know you boys are being shifted about so rapidly that our files will not be ' correct, but will continue to send your Hoover Rail to the last address furnished us, hoping that it will reach you’eventually and that you will enjoy reading it as much as we do printing it for you. Well, the election is a thing of the past, and'most of the people seem satisfied that we will have good'officers in important places, so things will be in good shape when you get back home, and you can continue to be proud of your home state. Summer has REALLY come and the last few days have'been so hot that we almost mel ted dov;n, but we are not kicking as it helps the crops, and that is important. By the way, it seems we haye the very finest prospects for good yields this year which makes us all very happy, VfflERE IS THAT LETTER YOU SHOULD vmiTE US? Vffi are getting some but not enough, and hope each and every one of you v/ill find time to write us in the very near future as "NEV^S FROM THE FRONT" is your part of the magazine, and the most interesting to most people, so lets keep it up 100^ by’each doing his little bit. We know vie can count on your cooperation, and we thank you. Take care of yourselves, keep up the good fight, and remember that the prayers and best wishes of the home folks follow you wherever you may be. f / George H* Hart,
