But, Lord, Thy church is praying yet, A thousand years the same. Unshaken as eternal hills. Immovable she stands, A mountain that shall fill the eart^, A house not made by hands,” — Tliough there is, from day to day, a change in things about us, the church is still the same ,, A mighty fciiiress in our land God’s people honoring His name. We, as your church folk back home, continue to keep our thou^ts with you — for your welfare and hoping for betterment of things both for you and the folk at home. On account of Polio, the children aren’t in Sunday School now; and we are missing them very much. It just don’t seem right without the little children, Vy'e haven* t had our series of revival services; but many of the’other churches in the community have; and- the report from them is very good, "There’s a time for all'things" ~ How true we find those v/ords in regard to re— ■icicing and weeping. Many heaiiis have been sad this month because of news from tho i/ar front and the passing of members of families here in our community. Likewise many hearts have been made happy by news of some returning to the St?wtes, The Church Folk are interested - in’ sorro¥;, in joy, or whatever the circumstance. Our prayers and best v;ishes are with you. •K- "Sermonette" by - Dr, Oliver J, Hart Dr, Hart is the Bishop of the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Pennsylvania, brother of Geo, H, Hart, and former Chaplain in the Army in both V/orld Wars 1 and 11, St, Mark 7:15 - There is nothing outside the man, which going into him, is able to make him unclean. Wlien I was on actual duty as a Chaplain at Fort Dix, a soldier came into the Chapel one night to see me. He had received what he thought was unfair treatment from a foul-mouthed Corporal, 7/e talked it over and then he said to me, "Chaplain, in the long run no one in this mark’s Amy can hurt me but myself", I had to reply, "You are not far from the Kingdom" Jesus said, "There is nothing outside the man, which going into him is able to make him unclean; because from inside, from the heart of men, come evil thoughts and unclean pleasnres, broken faith between*husband and wife, the desire for wealth, wrong-doing, deceit, sins of the flesh, pride, foolish acts; all these evil things come from inside and make the man unclean," VJhen you have lea,rned that nothing from the outside -'not even death itself can hurt you, you have learned the secret of victorious living.
