is a graduate of Gastonia High school, and is employed
in the office of Matthcv/s-Belk Compcny,
S-Sgt, Leo, only son of Mr, and Mrs, Luss leo of
Lavmdalc, recently returned to the Stat^ after 39 months
in the Pacific area. After a fur-/
lough, he will report' to Miami, A
Fla, for reassignment.

Corporal, Grover is novj serving in the PhillipinGs - We
havo a nicc letter from him in this month's issue,
Pfc, Ruth Mauncy Patterson of the WAC has recently been
promoted to Corporal, Ruth is the youngest daughter of Mrs,
Eva Mauney and has been at home for a furlough this past
month*
