THE PIEDMONITOR
Vol. 1 No. 12
‘Piedmont Sets The Pace.

- MARCH TRAFFIC -
During the month of March we carried a total of approximately 15,240 passengers for a tentative
load factor of 42.33%. With the quota for March at 16,647, the discrepancy between actual pas
senger loads and anticipated loads is substantial. As for the load factor, see below for a com
parison of the first three months of the past three years. Enuff said!
- CERTIFICATE RENEWAL ~
T. H. Davis
The final s
tep in our Certificate Renewal Case was completed on March 18, when the Civil Aero
nautics Board held Oral Argument. It is anticipated that
we can now expect a final decision within the next sixty
to ninety days. As was the case in the Hearing held last
Fall, all of the cities and several of the other airline
parties to the Case whole-heartedly supported Piedmont
and were most generous in their praise of the high calibre
of service rendered by Piedmont and the outstanding cour =
tesy and ability of all Piedmont personnel. It is our feel
ing that all of the Board Members are very much impressed
with the achievements we have made, and we are confident
that the final decision in our Renewal Case will be equally
as satisfactory as the Examiner’s recommendation.

January and February of this year failed to indicate any
thing like the increase that we experienced during the same
months of 1951 over 1950. Further, our aircraft
flew approximately 100,000 miles more during
this March than during the same month of last
year.
LEJEUNE; Don EDMONDSON’s consolidated ticket
office at Lejeune is coming along very nicely al
though working conditions are still rough. Better
than $26,000.00 was taken in during February.
Each time that Don, Harold WARNER, or Mrs.

attention to the wonderful cooperation that they
have received from Pete JONES and his boys in
IMN. IMN is on the receiving end of all requests
