New came the following message: “Both Mother and Dad have asked me to write and thank you for the very courteous and efficient way they were treated on their first flight. Dad has had both legs amputated and the carefulness with which he was handled was amazing to them, especially when they did not know what to expect, never having traveled by air before. Believe me, they are truly grateful." CONGRATULATIONS ; To the following winners of the Telephone Sales Technique Contest: Bob LIBSCOMB, Betty WARD, Cotton MILLER, Mary BOYD, and H L. GIBSON. To Fixed Base INT for winning the bowling championship, and James MESSICK who was the high bowler of the seaspn with an average of 172 To all the newly-weds and those about to be including Betty SHELTON and HUTCH... NEW FACES AND TRANSFERS; New Winston-Salem Pursers are Richard V. TEAGUE and Robert L. STEELE. Ernest Reid SANDERS has joined PAI as Operations Agent in RIC, and Robert Jack GOOD is the new Agent at TRI, R. P. MEARES has been welcomed back at IMN. Leroy BURTON, Jr., joined the Airline Stockroom INT on March 10, and in the Maintenance Dept. INT there are two new Jr. Mechanics: Henry S. NORMAN and Robert E. FOREMAN, Jr., while in the Sheet Metal Dept is Rex E. BRADLEY, who came with us on March 31. Fixed Base has two new linemen; Samuel L. WINDSOR, INT, and Joseph S. BATEMAN ORE. The FB Engine Shop has a new Jr. Specialist in Jesse Daniel HALL. W. H, TACKENBURG, Captain, is now flying out of INT, as is Tommy M. GOODSON, formerly ORF and IMN respectively. Lee COTTRELL is now on the line as First Officer, and Johnny WEBSTER will soon be Dispatching. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me! I’m one year old today. If you keep feeding me the same sort of diet to which I am now accustomed, plus a few supplemental items and ideas, I expect to grow between my first and second birthday- It was nice of so many of you to supply me with such a feast for this particular 1st anniversary issue.
