STAFF NEWCOMERS
Your Piedmont reportei^ in FAY
hasn’t very nnuch to report this time
as everything is running very smooth
with the exception of trying to iearn
this new code system. We just can't
seem to be able to get away from
INTR however, w e are all trying
very hard, hoping we aren't having
too many errors. It really seems
quite difficult at first, however now
I believe everyone is getting accust
omed to it and liking it much better.
Everyone in FAY is really interested
in the CL and AF contest, think of
the wonderful time a person could
have in GAY Paree', we also stop
and think when the phone rings a-
bout all those wonderful gifts CL has
just waiting for the winner, you can
rest assured FAY will be in there
pitching.
We sincerely hope that Carl Simpson
and his family are liking LOZ - we
surely have mis sed you folks around
FAY - hurry back to see us.
We recently had a visit from Vernon
Moore and family from KSN - you
should come more often - we enjoy
having you.
We believe that D. K. Jones would
like a transfer to RDUas he spends
quite a bit of time up that way - we
wonder if it could be a cute Mere-
dity girl?
Some of our agents went to the State
Fair this week and if anyone happens
to have any extra cash, how about
sending it this way, they could pro
bably use it. Theyreported a won
derful time.
As usual we are complaining about
our terminal construction. We had
hoped to have it as a Christmas
present, but the way things are look
ing nowit will be a 4th of July cele
bration, instead.
FAY will sign off extending to each
of you a cordial invitation to visit
us at any time.
NOVEMBER SERVICE AWARDS
T. W. Morton of Accounting was
presented a five-year service pin
on November 1, and A. T. Gray of
INT-D on November 26,
Hello again from the smoke ridden
mountains in CHW - and we mean
smoky. Any crew flying into CHW
these past few weeks can truthfully
say they have been "on top of old
smoky".
A new agent has joined our happy
family in CHW - Lee Davis. Lee
is 26 years old, and a native of CHW
having attended CHW schools and
was formerly employed by the Nat
ional Bank of Commerce as teller
for two years. Lee is an accom-
plishe'd musician, playing the piano.
His hobby is skating - we want to
welcome Lee - we know he will be
an asset to CHW and Piedmont.
We are sporting our new reserva
tion desk, quite a good improvement
over the old one. It's a pleasure to
work reservations now, so we ex
pect to sell twice as many.
We are very glad to welcome Miss
Marian Harris to Piedmont, who is
working in the capacity of secretary
to Mr. Northington.
Mr. Northington attended the annual
convention of the National Business
Air craft A s sociation in St. Louis on
October 29 and 30.
After months of very conscientous
work-by John Hall, C. W. Gough,
John Johnson and others, the new
Piedmont Aviation Parts & Access
ories Catalogue is ready. It is a
great improvement over the first
catalogue and will result in much
additional business for the company
as well as help our customers.
We want to welcome Miss Joan Joy
who is working as secretary to John
Hall and Eddie Culler.
Hunting season has been banned un
til the danger of forest fires de
clines. We had a few drops of rain
October 24, the first in 5 weeks.
Eagerly everyone waits with rifle
in hand for the State to declare the
"open season".
See you next month Ruth

Carolyn Flynn from Operations is
really flying high these days - jets
no less.
We are very happy to have Harry W.
Butner back with us after serving in
