T. H. DAVIS AGAIN ON ARINC BOARD Mr. Davis v/as unanimously elected to the Board of Directors by the stockholders of Aeronautical Radio, Inc., last month for the third consecutive year. He is the only local service representative on the Board. Congratulations, Mr. Davis! DISPATCHERS AWARDED RATINGS Two of our Dispatcher Clerks, A.T. Gray and R. H. Kitchen, received their Airline Dispatcher Ratings this month from R. C. Murray, CAA Aviation Safety Agent. The boys put in many an hour studying and certainly deserve our best v^ishesl IN OUR TRAVELS For those of you who have had the oppor tunity of visiting FAY, you have, no doubt, noticed the Terminal Building im provements. The new Ticket Counter should be installed shortly and will un doubtedly enhance the lobby. Some other changes have also been noted; i..e., the PAI gang, with a little baseball practice, could conceivably double for the House of David Ball Club. It seems that many of our personnel (ladies excused) are really In there "pitching" in order to aid their Fayetteville brethren celebrate the city's bi-centennial. It's amazing that some of the fellows can grow such lush brush! No doubt, there will be a few who will "chicken out" before the razors are honed for the removal ceremonies. I'll bet the gals will be happy when those cootie “traps are past history. Ed Best and his CLT gang are anxiously anticipating the move to the newTerminal Building. Although various dates have been given as to the proposed opening, it now appears that the latter part of May will be the first opportunity for the PAI group to abandon the present pseudo deluxe quarters. Speaking of new quarters. Jack Brandon and the INT-F‘ers have been giving close supervision to the construction of their new offices. The Operations Office and the Ticket Counter has been completed, with the exception of the decorating scheme around the counter. This is being handled by our advertising firm in Atlanta. The main delay was awaiting the installa tion of the electrically operated overhead door. Jack didn't seem to be in TOO much of a hurry in making the move, but did allow us seven hours to procure his office equipment. After many years of straining in the oversized mouse trap, we now have adequate space in which to handle station duties in the tobacco city. After a lengthy passage of time, a visit was paid DAN, SOP and HKY, The boys seem to enjoy gabbing about the latest happenings, and contrary to their beliefs, they haven't been forgotten. Even LOZ is going to be surprised one of these days! It has been apparent that many of the managers weren't too well pleased with having to complete an appraisal report on themselves, but I think they will agree that it provides them with the opportunity of a complete self-analysis. We are happy to learn that they do not think as much of their ability as we do. You can't blame us for your score this time! A former DAN and RIC Agent, George Bosworth, has parachuted back into the organization and is now in ORF. As per his statement, the grass wasn't so green on the other side of the hill. We would also like to welcome back Virginia Black, who has returned to her chores in LEX after having become a mama. Ken Ross "The codfish lays ten thousand eggs; The homely hen lays one. But the codfish never cackles To tell you what she's done. And so we scorn the codfish, While the humble hen we prize — Which simply goes to show you That it pays to advertise!" Said one deer to the other: "I wish I had his doe." BRIDAL PATH Dixie Adams,Secretary to Supt. of Mainte nance, engaged to John Cook, employed at Western Electric.
