THANKSGIVING
"Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.Serve
the Lord with gladness: come before His presence withsinging.
Know ye that the Lord He is God:)t is He that hath made
us,and not we ourselves; We are His people, and the sheep
of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts
with praise: be thankful unto Him. ..." (Psalm 100)
"The table overflows. We thank Thee, God
For pumpkin and for mince; for damson plum,
Sirupy and sweet; for the full pod
Unloosed within the pan for feast to come.
For faces young anc' smiling round the board.
And for silver-haired, who praise Thee most
For blessings they've received, for wisdom stored
Within their hearts,and that they should be host
Once more to those they love.
O, God, this day
In bounteous mercy keep Thy hand upon
These, the very young, these that are gray.
That busied them from the first early dawn
To brew and bake, to gather neighbors in
