PIEDMONT RECOMMENDED FOR PERMANENT CERTIFICATE On November 7th, a Civil Aeronautics Board examiner recommended that Pied mont Aviation, Inc. be granted a perma nent certificate for all of the cities on its system except Danville, Virginia and London-Corbin, Kentucky. Examiner Curtis C. Henderson said service at those points should continue on a temporary basis, under a three year certi ficate . The examiner's recommendations coincided with those of the CAB itself in an October 10th show-cause order. Thus it was likely that Piedmont soon would join the ranks of the local service I ines gaining permanent authority under legislation passed earlier this year. **★**★★★****★* HAGER APPOINTED V.P.
