WINSTON SALEM (Field) - Cont'd. to go on the line as Co-pilot. Sure hated to see him go but we oil knew therewould be no holding him down ( on the ground that is) R.O. Bullard came over from GSO to take his place. Welcome to the station of COMAT and ship changes, R.O. We are still in the middle of vacations here with one still to go. Charlie Stoltz and his wife went out to the far West last month for a week. Sounded like he had a fine time but he wasted no time getting back to rebel territory. Station Manager, Jack Brandon, just finished his two week vacation, ifyoucancall it that. Seems he worked 13 hours a day at the |NT Fair the first week and painted his house thesecond week, but now he is back to the peaceful serenity of the office. Speaking of Jack, he asked me to announce that F/O AI Crisler was the winner of the Marlin rifle given away in the contest(?) sponsored by Mr. Brandon. In closing, I would like to say that we here are looking forward to the annual PAI Christmas Party, and especially t o seeing all you folks up and down the line. The new hangar should provide an ideal spot for the affair. It's so large we'l I probably never know who was there. FIXED BASE FLASHES .... Congratulations are in order for Bill O' Neal, Flight Instructor for Fixed Base. Under Bill's supervision enough students have begun flying until it was necessary to secure another Flight Instructor. Bill Hurst is now Bill O'Neal's assistant and we welcome him to Fixed Base.
