EASTERN AIR LINES
In July 1 955,Eastern Air Lines inaugurated
DC“7B service through many of the major
cities on their routes. Known as the
"Golden Falcon”,this airlinerls the fast
est of its kind in commercial service with
a cruising speed of 360 miles per hour. Be*
cause of new soundproofing techn^ues
used in its construction, it is termed the
most quiet piston engine airplane in use.
As an additional passenger convenience,
individual seats can be reserved at check
in time on all first class flights. Interior
of the Golden Falcon is rlchly decorated
in gold and blue,silver and white. Trans
parent plexiglas partitions separate the
lounge from the passenger cabin. Another
milestone in the history of aviation progress,
the Golden Falcon bids you "Welcome
Aboard. "

The introduction of the turbo-prop Vis
counts by Capital Airlines on July 26, be
tween the cities of Chicago, Washington,
Pittsburgh and Norfol k, marks the beginn
ing of a re-equipment program which assures
Piedmont and Capital passengers the very
latest in travel comfort. The Viscount is
the world's first turbo-prop powered trans
port airplane and has been proven i n
