displays that were set up to best describe

NAVY ALLOCATES TWO
DC-3S TO PIEDMONT
It has been announced that the Navy has
allocated two R4D transport aircraft to
Piedmont Airlines. The R4D is the U. S.
Navy nomenclature for the well known C-
47 or DC-3. Under the 1 ease agreement,
Piedmont will be able to retain the craft
for an indefinite period of time, s u b j e ct
to immediate recall by the Navy in the
event of any national emergency.
Once the R4Ds are in our hands, they will
undergo an extensive conversion to make
them conform to the standard Piedmont
configuration. The acquisition of the two
aircraft will bring Piedmont's fleet up to
twenty and will be a very welcomed
addition for our expanded schedules.
line for oil material is the 5th of every
month and with the work that is necessary
to assemble and prepare the material for
printing, we are really pushing to get the

Please do your part to make the Piedmonitor
a newspaper that we can be proud of and
I assure you we will do ours.

PARTY FISHING
Bob Dekay-IMN Maintenance, advises
that he can assist PAIemployees in setting
up group fishing parties. His close associ
ation with party boat captains and know -
ledge of fishing conditions should be ex
tremely beneficial if anyone has a " hank
ering" for deep-sea fishing. Bob assures us
that the rates will be reasonable.
