CHARLESTON—
(Ruth Miller)
The first winter snow is here - and Ole'
Santa's appearance is near.
Everyone's spirit is oiive.
On thoughts of the Holiday parties we
thrive.
CHW Agents have “all" been good,
Santa will fill our stockings with Goodies
instead of Wood.
First comes the apartment of Irene,
Her stocking is hung by the TV screen.
Leave a couple of passes Miami bound.
She's packing for a trip down.
Down the street Loretta left open the gate.
To Santa this sweet Southern Gal
should really rate.
Not too far away is the abode of Toots
and Bill,
Married a little over a year, don't for
get their stockings to fill.
In the town of Chesapeake, real close
by
To the Settles house the reindeer will
fly.
And perhaps on his way back
He will stop at the Cash home to open his
sack.
Tom, now old enough for a train
Finds eager father. Bill, can't complain.
Good cook, Edith, is preparing goodies
with great concern.
"Dickie Bird", now quite hungry, is wait
ing h is turn.
On down the river, down the "High" way.
Ole' Joe is heard to say,
"Man, the snow sure is deep, it's awfully
cold outside
It's nice in our cozy home, but later, jrere
don't forget our airplane ride."
Mac and Sue are just full of cheer
Before going to work on ole' Coonskin
Ridge, Mac wishes a Merry Christmas to
his Dear.
Over the hills and around the curve.
Keeping a steady pace with Santa, is
our friend, " |rv" .
A Christmas all planned for his house
Awaiting his return from work are daughters
Patty and Jean, not to forget Betty, his
spouse.
Not to pass up John Comer and Jim Bir-
thisel
Their Christmas lunch boxes, as usual
are full .
Now, Eddie realizes son, Mike, for
hunting suit and gun Is too young
But knows with the gear Father will havo
most fun.
Out hunting for their Christmas tree and
Mistletoe is Bob and Lee
And as always they have an abundance
of hoiiday Glee.
The Garretts, Don, Salley & Sherrie,
home safe in bed
Don, hoping no car accidents in '57will
keep him out of the red.
Not to forget the Fishers - Denver we
know will buy
A new car this year, his willpower no
longer can he tie.
The New Year will create a new Pilot
in Frank
His ambition and work will help him
cross the well known Plank.
Jackie and Mary Jo expecting a jolly
boy or smil ing girl
Enjoy the Holiday Season all in a happy
whirl.
And ole' Santa, we hope you bring P.K.
many thrilIs
Anything to make his car "like" those
curves and hills.
Ronnie and Jane have their Christmas
tied up in Little Chuckle
My, but aren't they lucky!
And I pause to say, this little poem is
meant to bring
A Christmas message from all of us in CHW
to you if we could sing.
This is the Season of happiness and cheer
Although a bit sad 'cause it closes the
year.
We've all had our usual ups and downs
The coming year promises Success In Leaps
and Bounds.
I pray God will bless you one and all
and Comfort you if you fall .
A blessed Holiday Season.
CINCINNATI—
CVG boarded 3,801 passengers during the
month of October, just 74 less than we
boarded in June, which was our biggest
month. Mr. Baker Slater, our Director of
Sales, has promised to buy "Big Boys" and
Cokes for all, when we board 4,000.
Well, with the schedule change and bad
weather, we've been kept pretty busy,
and don't think we could have made it
had it not been for Tom Cowan, our Station
Manager,who isalways there togive help
when the going gets rough.
