ROANOKE... R.s.Stepp, agent, received his five year service pin on July 7. Worthy of recogniti on at this time is the fact that he has had no cause to be absent from his job since he joined Piedmont - perfect attendance for five years. CONGRATULATIONS! TRI-CIT!ES . . . . . . Don Shanks WE MADE IT 11 WE MADE IT I ! Those have been the v/ords we hove been hearing. Yes, after almost ten years of service in the TRIarea, this station finally broke the 4,000 passengers per month barrier. Our unofficial records show that we boarded 4,170. After many months of trying real hard , beating the bushes for those extra passengers and months of Sales Training courses, we sincerely hope that when the official returns come in we will have made the 4000 mark. We should have that report before this goes to press. We believe that we are the first on the system to make this goal. We could not have done it had it not been for the little extras that other stations have given us, because as you probably know, INT figures about 33 percent of the pass engers we board are transfer passengers. So all of you had a hand in helping us make this goal. other day,and he really looks like a dare devil skimming up the lake.
