An artist's concept presents three views of the new Boeing 727 short-range jet liner. The three-engined 'iet will be capable of carrying from 70 to 114 passengers at speeds up to 600 miles an hour. The 727 will have a range of from 150 to 1,700 miles. Eastern and United Airlines have placed orders for 40 727's each. The combined orders, totalling $350,000,000, are believed to be the largest in the history of the transportation industry.
