That air line is passing us up at present in view of the fact that many of their inbound international shipments require a bonded carrier. Vacation is drawing to a close for most of us now but next year don’t forget to plan your vacations through BAL — Gateway to the Vacation Wonderlands.” WILMINGTON — Newly-appointed Sales Rep. Bill Dolan is getting into high gear in his new position, reports Charlie Leonard. Four ILM hunters opened the dove hunting season September 8 with some succses. They were Posie Smith, Ed Kerr, Sy Pierce, and Bill Dolan. The current bowling season was kicked off Sep tember 7 with Piedmont participating in the ILM Goldbricks’ League, Pete Sandifer is flying to Bermuda on his vacation. Soon to be held is another steak dinner, won by being 12.2 per cent over quota. COUJMBUS — A giant air show was held September 9 at CMH according to Bert Carlos, with an estimated crowd of some 300,000 people. Police officials said it was the greatest “traffic jam” ever to hit Columbus. It took airport and airline employees two and three hours to get to work. The station has won its steak feed and it’s scheduled for the latter part of September. Ex-Pied- mont Agents Mike and Jan Young Hollern are proud parents of a new boy. AROUND THE SYSTEM ... (Continued from Page One) him become a more successful family provider. Tests Helped The results of Pre-Vocational tests pointed unmistakably in the direction of printing as an occupation in which Henry was interested »and would probably do well. His visual handicap was an obstacle for this type work and yet all other signs and clues pointed in this direction. After a six months training period Henry graduated last Jan uary. Several job opportunities were explored but three months went by before a lead paid off. In April a local firm hired Henry and he is working there now, a well-adjusted wage earner and another success story in the re habilitation effort. Henry and little Susan repre sent only two case histories out of thousands helped by the United Fund each year. In addi tion, normal life is made more interesting and productive through organizations such as the YMCA and YWCA, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Com munity cultural centers.
