The Duke Blue Devil basketball team comes home after winning the Eastern Regional NCAA Championship at the annual Eastern Regional Tournament. Over 6,000 hoveling fans turned out at the Raleigh-Durham Airport to see the team arrive from College Park, Md., scene of the finals, via Piedmont chartered (Durham Herald-Sun photograph by Charles Cooper.) DC-3. The police had a hard time keeping the crowd in check before the team's ar rival, said newspaper accounts. Officials finally threatened to land the plane at an un disclosed location if the fans would not move behind the spectators' fence. Once the DC-3 landed, however, there was just no controlling the victorious basketball worshipers. >* American Airlines played host for a Piedmont 15th anniversary celebration in the Cincin nati reservations office.
