The tuneful threesome were singing at a folk gathering in the area. Another pert bevy of Stewardesses has taken wings. At the pinning ceremony with President T. H. Davis and Vice President C. G. Brown are (left to right) Marcella Shackleford, Carolyn Ward, Wanda Lee Terry, and Jennie Lou Bryan. PIEDMONITOR It's the Royal Order of the Flying Orchid for Mrs. Jane Callahan of the LYH Babcock and Wilcox Co., Atomic Energy Division. LYH Man ager C. R. Blackmon (right) and Robert Coggin of Delta present Mrs. Callahan with a plaque "... in recognition of her contribution to the development and growth of air travel." Mrs. Callahan handles the commercial ticket account at her company. Other women receiving the orchid have been Mrs. Frances Knight of the U. S. Passport Bureau and Mrs. Edith Ridgeway, travel chief for the Pentagon. f.-mSVEETJ ;,r To... PIEDMONT AIR AMERICAN AIR LINES Singing star Jane Powell receives shelter from the elements via an um- American Airlines in Atlanta gave Piedmont a birthday party to celebrate the company's 16th anniversary brella wielded by Agent Neal Wray. Miss Powell had just arrived at February 20. Joining in the festivities were (left to right) Manager Bruce Parrish, District Sales Manager the Roanoke airport and was in the area to fill a singing engagement. Don Edmondson, and American District Sales Manager Andrew “Bud" Simpson.
