C., examine an F-27 propeller X in the Engine Shop at INT. as part of a 2 day Piedmont Crescent tour. The 200 businessmen who took part in the tours boarded a special train which ran through the Piedmont area, stopping at strategic cities to allow the group to visit business and in dustrial operations along the way. Piedmont President T. H. Davis and Assistant to the President Don Britt joined the tour as it passed through Winston-Salem. ABOVE LEFT: Carl Jeffries, President of the Greensboro News Co., was one of the 26 members of the group to tour Piedmont Aviation at INT. % ISM mkM mmmmm II Lovely Carolyn Eddy, Miss Virginia of 1964, waves to well-wishers as she boards flight 42 in ROA on her way to the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City. PIEDMONITOR Three "Blues" stop to chat with Chamber of Commerce President W. S. Yeager and Piedmont President T. H. Davis before the air show held at Smith Reynolds Airport, October 11. The Blue Angels, the Navy's Flight Demonstration Team, presented an exciting demonstration of precision techniques of naval aviation. The "Blue" on the tar left is unidentified. The other two are, left to right, Lt. Bob McDonough and LCDR Bob Aumack. It looks like girl talk between Piedmont stewardess Carol Blevins and the First Lady of the Land. Lady Bird Johnson chartered an F-27, one of her favorite planes, for use in carrying her husband's campaign to Akron and Columbus, Ohio, last September.
