The interview article, written by Managing Editor Jack King, is based on a discussion he had with Bill Davis about the different facets of Piedmont’s corporate main tenance program. p YS-11 Service Set For May 15 Piedmont’s first YS-11, scheduled for final delivery to INT May 10th, should be on the line as planned five days later. The initial schedule for the first of Piedmont’s ten new turbo-props shows nine cities will be included in the original service pattern. A total of five flights numbered 900, 901, 902, 903 and 911 will serve Winston-Salem, Danville, Lynch burg, Charlottesville, Washington (National Airport), Roanoke, Tri- Cities, Knoxville and Shenandoah. TADLOCK Assistant Vice President— Flight Operations Another cash dividend was de clared by the Board of Directors of Piedmont Aviation, Inc., at their annual meeting in Winston-Salem, marking the eighth consecutive semi-annual cash dividend to be declared by the Company since the initial dividend of October, 1964. The new dividend to be paid June 1, 1968, to shareholders of record on May 15, 1968, amounts to 10 cents per share on the firm’s common stock. Preceding the Directors’ meet ing was the annual meeting of Piedmont’s stockholders, where President Davis commented on the events of the year 1967, which he described “as one of the most challenging in our firm’s 27 year history.” He also listed net con solidated income of $1,890,857 for 1967 or $1.02 per share. Also at the Directors’ meeting, T. H. Davis was re-elected Presi dent and Treasurer, with all re maining Piedmont officers newly elected as follows: C. G. Brown, Jr., Senior Vice President; R. S. Northington, Senior Vice Presi dent; H. K. Saunders, Senior Vice President; W. W. Barber, Vice President-Purchasing; H. M. Cart wright, Vice President-Maint- enance & Engineering; W. G. Mc Gee, Vice President-Sales; T. W. Morton, Vice President-Finance & Secretary; R. E. Turbiville, As sistant Vice President and J. R. Farley was re-elected as Assistant Secretary. The elections of K. At the shareholders’ meeting all the present directors of Piedmont were re-elected. Those directors are; President Davis; Senior Vice Presidents Brown, Northington and Saunders; E. L. Davis, E. L.
