For travel to Aruba, Curacao and Port au Prince — formerly free on Trans Caribbean — American will charge 50% positive space and 75% space available. Everything is “GO” for Hilton International in the Caribbean. “GO” means Guest Option, a plan espe cially designed for airline employees at $25 per person, double occupancy, for 3 days and 2 nights. The Guest Option plan is a uniform price package at eight Carib bean Hiltons — Barbados, Curacao, Dorado (Puerto Rico), Jamaica (Ocho Rios), Martinique, Mayaguez (Puerto Rico), Trinidad and the Virgin Isle Hilton in St. Thomas. The GO plan is available from April 18 through December 14 at the hotels (except the Dorado Hilton, where it is in effect until October 24, and the Caribe Hilton, until December 8). Besides the feature of the one price, there’s a unique GO “fund,” which is a credit that you can use in your hotel as you want and when you choose. Here’s how it works: You start with the GO plan, offered in a 3-day, 2-night package at $25 per person, double occupancy). Each amount brings with it a GO fund credit of $15 per person. When you arrive at the hotel, you pay the full package price. You are immediately credited with a $15 GO fund, which you may use as you like. On food, drinks, lanndry and valet; for water sports, beauty salon, health club, and other services and facilities. Anytime in the three days. Exactly which added services and facilities will vary by the hotel, but the GO fund is the same $15. To make a reservation, just call the nearest Hilton Reservation Service office. Airfare is a colorful 80-page travel- planner magazine that comprehensively describes the interline discounts offered by airlines throughout the world. Hotel, restaurant and land tour packages are also explained with authority and in detail. A 12-issue subscription rate of $6 per year is offered to Piedmont employees; this is a $4 savings over the regular $10 subscription rate. “Each monthly issue of Airfare is filled with enough bargain tips to offset the cost of a full year’s sub scription,” states Airfare Publisher Jeff Butler. “Airfare has put an end to the bulletin board search for up-to-the-minute interline discount information. Now, airline employees can receive 80-pages of pertinent material each month — mailed directly to their homes,” continues Butler. Three Features Each month Airfare features two foreign and one domestic destination for interline travel. In the last three issues points featured include Hawaii, Norway, Las Vegas, Australia, European Ski Resorts, Chicago, South America, Amsterdam, California’s Disneyland area. The April issue will feature Greece, Miami and Sing apore while May will cover The Caribbean, Montreal and Munich. In addition to the certified discount infor mation, Airfare offers entertaining and informative ar ticles, cartoons, and feature stories (Art Buchwald and Judith Crist are regulars). A Library “I attribute our early subscription response to the fact that Airfare is saved by the reader each month in order to build an interline travel library for home use,” says Interline Manager Virginia Strahan. “By saving each month’s 80-page magazine, the subscriber has a 960-page library at the end of the year which is filled with interline travel information. All this for $6,” she adds. To subscribe, just use this handy coupon.
