Not doubting that it would, of course, Director of
Communications Les Watson was only checking for
the photographer’s benefit. Watson was given the
watch by his fellow Masons at Piedmont just before
he retired on January 28th. A. S. Rinehardt, left,
made the presentation.

The Proof
Norfolk pilot Brantley Brown was
taking no chances when telling the
tales of his holiday fishing exploits.
His pictorial proof shows a 25 and
a 30 pound striped bass he caught
while trolling in Oregon Inlet.

Did you have an aviation course in high
school? C. E. Neal, aviation specialist for the
Sanderson-Times Mirror in Denver, Colorado
has asked Piedmont employees to assist him in
locating our captains, first officers and others
who were enrolled in aviation courses while
in high school. “In our efforts to promote
high school aviation programs across the na
tion,” says Neal, “we are interested in creating
magazine articles for submission to the various
state teacher publications and other educational
magazines. We would like to cite specific ex
amples of individuals now professionally in
volved in aviation who have been exposed to
it in the course of this secondary schooling.”
If you can be of any help to Neal he would ap
preciate your calling him person-to-person
collect at A. C. 303 399-7250.

40423), sent pilots and stewardesses for
ground school and initial training on the Mar
tin 404 as did Danny Davis Productions of
Nashville, Tennessee.
Fayetteville reports they’ve selected their
second outstanding agent in the Phase I of
their Customer Relations Program. The latest
winner is Ray Pope, Supervisor of Passenger
Service at FAY. He has been with Piedmont for
seven years. He was selected on the basis of an
essay judged by the Station Manager, two
supervisors and two agents.
