May-September, 1980 page seven Interesting interlining Don’t let your dependents be denied boarding If you haven’t travelled on-line during the past couple of months you may have missed reading the Non-Revenue/Reduced Rate Travel Guide which has been attached to all employee passes. Continuing problems with dependents not meeting the dress code requirements indicate the word about the rule is not getting to the riders. Whether it is children off at school or parents flying reduced rate without you, it is your responsibility to see that they meet the guidelines. Frequent and timely reminders will help you get them where they want to be when they want to be there. Points to remember: ATTIRE: When traveling on a pass or reduced rate ticket, passengers must be neat, clean and well groomed in accordance with Piedmont standards. Male passengers age 16 and above must wear business suits or coordinated sport coat and trousers. A shirt and tie is required with business suits. Ties are preferred with sport coat and trousers, however, turtle- neck or neat open collar shirts are accept able. Leather coats styled like traditional suit coats are acceptable as sport coats. Ski jackets, all-weather jackets, vinyl jackets and sweater jackets are not acceptable as sport coats. Collarless shirts, tank or t- shirts, sweat shirts, jeans, bare feet, sandals or shoes without socks are not acceptable. Female passengers age 16 and above must wear a dress, suit, dress pantsuit or co ordinated skirt or slacks with a dress blouse or sweater. Shorts, hotpants, jeans, t-shirts, tank tops, sweat shirts, tops with any part of midriff bare, short skirts, bare feet, thongs or casual sandals, or hair in curlers are not acceptable. Children should be well groomed and dressed in clothing suitable for travel. Transportation will be denied passengers not meeting these standards. CALLS TO RESERVATIONS: All space available passengers are required to list for their desired flight. Always identify yourself as a pass rider and specify the type pass or ticket held. If traveling on a meal flight, list at least six hours prior to departure but not more than 24 hours in advance. Reservations may be made only by passengers holding 50% reduced rate or non revenue positive space tickets. All calls to the reservations office should be between 7:00 pm and 7:00 am. IDENTIFICATION: All passengers must be prepared to present positive identifica tion. Employees should present their com pany I.D. card. CHECK-IN AND BOARDING: Present your ticket at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure. After checking in, keep clear of the ticket lift desk until your name is called or you are otherwise advised that you may board the flight. Please let revenue passengers board first.
