Discover America on Piedmont!
Baltimore is undergoing a
renaissance, thanks to a renewal
program begun several gears ago
in the city. Namedfor Lord Balti
more, an English statesman who
founded the State of Maryland,
Baltimore is situated by the Ches
apeake Bay and has become a
very desirable place to live and
work as well as visit
Charles Center, afacility that
blends the old with the new in the
core of the business district is part
of Baltimore's renewal program as
are the row house neighborhoods
in and around the historic Fells
Point and Federal Hill areas. The
Inner Harbor area ’s wharves have
been replaced with brick walk
ways, and around these walkways
are two glass pavilions called
Harborplace which house 130
shops and restaurants.
