1. Our first 767-200. which is scheduled for delivery on May 21. will
have 210 seats, 25 business-class and 185 coach.
2. Piedmont added Florida to the list of states served when the airline
began service to Miami on June 15, 1978.
3. Piedmont stock (PIE) first traded on the New York Stock Exchange on
September 25, 1978.
4. Piedmont has inaugurated service to 55 new destinations since de
regulation of the airline industry in 1978.
5. On May 30. 1986 Piedmont became the sixth United States llag-
carrying airline to board over two million passengers in a single
month, thus joining a select group of the nations largest and most
successful airlines.
T-shirts and shorts among
new items now at Shoppes
An attractive array of sweatshirts
and t-shirts, perfect for spring and
summer days, is now available at the
three Piedmont Gift Shoppes.
The new crew neck sweatshirts, sizes
small to extra-large, come in lavender,
teal, light blue, or pink. One version,
which features a full-chest logo in
white, sells for $9.65. A second ver
sion, which costs $10.22, has a beach
umbrella on the front.
Four different styles of short-sleeved
t-shirts are in stock. The first, with a
flamingo-and-palm-tree scene, is
available in white, mint green, or pink.
A second t-shirt, white with a hot
pink and blue design, features a
coastal hurricane scene, and a third
version comes in white with multi
colored seashells. All three versions
sell for $6.08 each. The fourth new
t-shirt has a full chest logo, and is
offered in teal, light blue, black, red,
or white. The cost is just $3.96. All
four styles are available in sizes small
to extra-large.
Women's pleated shorts with front
pockets and cuffs—in white, pink, or
mint green with an embroidered logo
—sell for $11.82. The shorts are in
junior sizes 7/8 to 15/16. Men’s tennis
shorts—in white, navy or khaki with
an embroidered logo—are $9.90.
These shorts are in sizes 30-38. Long,
wide-legged shorts with pockets on
the front and an elasticized waist are
$10.85. They are offered in white or in
gray and white stripes and come in
small to extra-large sizes.
Other items include a Six-Stix
cooler which is available for $5.30. In
addition, needlepoint or cross-stitch
kits of our logo or aircraft are for sale.

The Winston-Salem Shoppe (ex
tension 5510) is located at Smith
Reynolds Airport and is open Monday-
Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The
Norfolk store (extension 277) is open
weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and
on weekends from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
It is located on Burton Station Road
near the ORF terminal building. The
Monroe Municipal Airport, 35 miles
from CLT, is open 24 hours a day,
seven days a week.
