WEEKLY TRAFFIC MEMORANDUM #17 -2- November 9, 1948 8. FAIL MSHANDLINGS - Since the meeting of October 19-20, I would like to say that we have missed the goal we had set for air mail mishandlings. As you knoWj that goal was "no mishandlings for 90 days in order to break Pioneer Air Line's record," Since October 20, we have had the misfortune of having three mail mishandlings, (This is definitely an improvement over our past record.) Let's start again and eliminate these mishandlings as we all agreed to do at the meeting. I still want to congratulate you on the progress which has been made, but let's make it 100^ this time. 9. PROVISIONAL WEIGHT - On some previous instructions on winter operations, there was some doubt as to whether we could continue to use the 800 lb, provisional. Vfe now have a ruling and you may continue to use a provisional up to 800 lbs., although 146 lbs, has been added to the weight of the aircraft ’.idth the de-icer boots and propeller alcohol.
