ROTARY MEETING
At Tuesday night's meeting of the
Highlands Rotary Club, S.C. Russell,
Secretary, was asked by the program
chairman to talk about his impres
sions of Rotary in Europe and Scan
dinavia. Mr. Russell returned re
cently from an extended trip and
mentioned that he had attended Ro
tary meetings regularly, making up
his attendance record in London and
Munich^ Oslo, Kristiansund and Trond
heim, Norway? Stockholm, Sweden and
Copenhagen, Denmark. He signed Ro
tary registers in hotels in Coblenz,
Germany, Amsterdam and Rotterdam,
Holland and on board a Cunard Line
vessel en route.

”I was impressed by the hold which

HOSPITAL AUCTION

Last winter in Florida we over
heard a middleagod couple discus
sing Highlands as a summer resort.
They come up here for many reasons,
one primary one being excellent
medical care and a good hospital.
A resort won*t be a success be
cause of a good hospital; and by
the s'ame token it can't be a suc
cess without adequate hospital fa
cilities. And also Highlands with
its lovely views, its sweet-scented
pines, its lakes, its fine stores
and good hotels, and pretty cottager
should remember its hospital. It
