The breezy st^ry of a husband whose wife is accepted for military service while he is rejected was written for the screen and directed by Frank Tashlin for producer Buddy Adler, Adler, who has been the leading producer at the Twen tieth Century-Fox studio this year, has to his credit such recent screen hits as ’’Love Isa Mony-Splendored Thing, ” and "The Left Hand of God." Ewell, as a TV writer and World War II hero, is the frustrated husband who fights against tremendous odds to stick with his wife, who is accepted as a WAF lieutenant and sent to the American Air Force base in Hawaii. Mi as North is the curvaceous wife, who draws wolf whistles wherever she goes. The wacky things that Ewell does to get his wife out of the Air Force presents one comedy situation after after another, which finally ends with Sheree being discharged and Ewell being accepted despite his psychosomatic knee* Much of the picture t??kes place in Hawaii, giving Director Tashlin an oppor tunity to unfold the hilarious story in an exotic setting, photographed in De Luxe color• The famous Hickam Air Force Base, the swank officers* club in Honolulu, and Waikiki beach were settings for many scenes in the picture.
