a "Town Crier",better described as a bull
etin board# It is located on Main Street
next to the Real Estate office of Mrs#

The purpose is to provide a definite
and official place for civic notices^any
item of interest to the coinraunity but not
of a commeroiel nature*

ART SHOW SUPRISES HIGHLMDS
The Art Show held July 26th and 27th
for the benefit of Hudson Library pr6ved
to be a surprise to the approximately three
hundred people who attended it,both becausc
of the number of Highlands artists exhibit
ing and the high quality of the work shown#
There were 38 exhibitors,18 entering pict-
\ires in various mediums and 20 exhibiting
their handicrafts,while two artists——-
George W. Gunther and George Yaple—showed
both paintings and ceramics*

Again Highlands responded to the opp

in summer evening wear, filled the school
