BAZAAR The Hospital Bazaar, sponsored by the auxiliary group of the Highlands Com^ munity Hospital, will be held on Friday and Saturday, July 18-19, in the Cobb Biiilding on Main Street* All proceeds will be used for the hospital and every one is invited to attend the bazaar* Much work and planning have gone into prepar ing for this event. Include in your trip to town a visit to the Bazaar* -PLEASE NOTE We are running each week in our news paper a few items from issues published five or six yeoxs ago. CHURCH TO BE DEDICATED SUNDAY, JULY 20 At the morning worship hour this Sunday the Highlands Methodist Church will be dedicated by Bishop Nolan B* Her- mon and the dedicatory sermon will be preached by Bishop Costen J. Harrell of Decatur, Ga. J^ecial music will be under the direction of Robert G* Ramsey, and Mrs* Robert Balfour, guest organist* To the side of the main sanctuary there is a small chapel which has been named Smith-Hllett Chapel, in memory of Mrs* Kate Smith and her father. Dr# Wil bur Fiske Tillett* Mrs* Stoith was bom in Danville, Va* in 1899 and she passed away February 6, 1957 at Vanderbilt Hos pital in Nashville, Tenn* where she had been a patient for six months* Mrs* anith attended the Ward Bel mont School for Girls and later graduat ed from Randolph Macon* She received her Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin* After her marriage to Mr, J.H. Smith of Nashville, she spent her time between Florida, Highlands, and (ConH on page 9)
