’•Andy Hardy Comes Hcame,’* with Mickey
Rooney starring as the still irrepressible
but grown-up Andy Hardy (now married and
the father of two youngsters) reunites the
most famous family in screen histoiy for
the first time in twelve years*
Coming out of retirement to recreate
their respective roles as Ma Hardy and
Andy*s sister, Marion, are Fay Holden and
Cecilia Parker, joined by Sara Haden in
her original role of AUnt Millie.
New members of the family introduced
in ”Andy Hardy Comes Home” are Patricia
Breslin as Mrs* Andy Hardyf Teddy Rooney,
Mickey*s eight-year-old son, portraying
Andy Hardy, Jr*| Johnny Weissmi2ller, Jr*,
cast as Andy^s nephew; and Gina Gillespie
as Cricket, Andy's six-year old daughter*
Also in featured roles are Joey Forman
and Jerry Colonna*

revolves about Andy*s return to his home
town of Carvel from California, where he
has become an up-and-coming lawyer for an
aircraft corporation seeking a site for a

property in Carvel at first results in
suspicion and antagonism upon the part
of the townsfolk, a distrust increased
when he is placed in a false position
in relation to one of Carvel*s prettiest
girls* But Andy*s family join him in
time to see him redeem himself on both
counts*
A poignant factor of the earlier
Hardy Family films were the heart-to-
heart talks between the juvenile Andy
and his father. Judge Hardy* In the
new stoiy, it is Andy who has a heart-
to-heart talk with his son, a sequence
which gives young Teddy Rooney his
chance to shine*
The picture lends itself to the intro
duction of four songs, written by
Mickey Rooney and Harold l^ina, one of
which, titled *'U Gotta Soda, ” is a rock-
