LOCAL HOSPITAL HELPS
BRING NEW RESIDENTS HERE

While making hospital visitations
recently, I had the pleasure of calling
on Mr* E* Chaffee Saunders, who was a
\ patient for several days# During our con^
versatlon Mr* Sunders stated that he
and his wife would not have selected
Highlands as a suijamer residence, had it
not been for the presence in the commun
ity of a good ho^dtal# This statement
seemed q^te significant to me, especial
ly at a time when we are «n striving to
supply the needed funds for our hospital^s
opsration and necessary improvements*
Perhaps it may not have occiared to some
pecple that having a first rate hospital

A REMINDER
Artiste and craftsmen of the High
lands area are reminded to bring their
work; ready to hang or to display, to
the lobby of the Highlands Community
Iheatre building on Thursday morning,
August 13th, between 9 and 12© The ex
hibition, for benefit of the Hidson
Library of Highlands, will be hung that
afternoon, and will be open to the public

each year for being the most sanitary

Atlanta Contralto Beverly Wolff
will be first guest artist with the Bre
vard Music Center Orchestra for the
second annual Highlands Music Festival
beginning here in Highlands Monday, Aug

For its second year the festival
will gather an Impressive roster of
nationally and regionally known maisicians
to appear with James Christian Pfohl and
the j^evard Orchestra#
