lands, N»C« was guest speaker* Mr*
Woodruff spoke on many things, but one of
his main Ideas that he wished to get a-
cross was man*s need to have a trusting
faith in God* He pointed cut that Presi
dent Eisenhower was a very religious mane

the Fund Drive and expressed itself as
being confident that the ccamnunity would
recognize the great importanco of bring
ing the campaign to a successful point

Fcur years ago the Hudson Library
ventured to put on an Art Show, hoping
to unearth perhaps a dozen artists —
mostly "Sunday painters” — among the
residents and visitors in Highlands* That
show was a surprising success and aroused
so much Interest that the Library Art
Show has become an annual feature of our
summer program* Each year there have
been more artists exhibiting and more
varied work shown, so that the Art Show
outgrew the space available in .the
Library and it has been a problem to find
a suitable place to hold Ito
