MERCHASDISE GATHERED PHCSM ALL OVER THE WORLD BEAUTIFUL GIFTS GIVEN AWAY FREE AT EACH SALE ' DIRfHOnOS - WflTCHES - ^ILVERUUflRE FURniTURE - I innERUUflRE - CRYSTflLUJflRE - linEHS HIGHinnDS ART GflLLER-Y £STnBLISH£D 28 YEflRS in THE CflHOLinnS TEA WELL ATTEmEd A most enjoyable affair of last week was the Annual %iiscopal Tea given "by the Women of the Episcopal Church last Thurs day afternoon at the beautiful heme of Mr* and Mrs* A*T* Carter on Hat Mountain# It was exceptionally well attended by a large number of people^ some of whou^ came from out-*of«town to attend the Tea* The house was decorated throughout with lovely arrangements of yellow and white gladiolas and dahlias* The flowers were arranged ty Mrs* Polly Clark and Mrs* C*J* Stokes and were the topic of much discussion during and after the Tea# The tea table held an unusually beautiful ar rangement of galax leaves and white del- phiniunu Mrs* Margaret H^l and il&s# Ray Schultheis served the guBstS| and Mrs# William Caye and Mrs* James Howe were co-chairmen for the event. The amount received at the Tea was approximately $225*00 and will go to the Episcopal ChTirch# Notes From Old School Hill Wigs are slipping, the light fantas tic is being tripped, paint brushes are slapping, and rehearsels are taking place twi^e daily in preparation for ”THE WOULD BE GENTLEMAN”, next on the boards at the Highlands Community Theatre# Work on the set has been slowed a bit by the re-arrangement of the seats to afford Taetter vision in all sections of the theatre, They are now in wide semi circles with wide aisles between, making it much easier to move between the rows^ and staggered so that no one^s head is an obstacle# The work crew also spent many hoiirs rigging lights, curtains, and hanging space for the Highlands Art Show, for the benefit of the Hudson Library# Due to all the extra-curricular activity, a few more willing hands with paint brush or hammer would be greatly appreciated to help us “Get the show on the road**| so, if you have an hour or two to spare, come to the Theatre on the Hill* You will be most welcome# THE WOULD BE GENTLMAN has a large oast and you should see many familiar faces on the stage# Ihe cast is as follows!
