Open House At Hospitrl
On Saturday and Sunday, July 9 and
10, an open house id.ll be held at the
Highlands Community Hospital, to which
the public is cordially invited, A tour
of inspection will be made through the
hospital to see the improvements which
have been made in the hospital building
during the winter and spring months.
Mrs. lyda Harcombe, Mrs. W, C. Caye,
and Mrs. Stacy Russell, members of the
HCH Woman *s Auxiliary, will serve tea to
those enjoying the open house.
The hours will be 2 to 5 p* m. both
Saturday and Sunday.

Ceimp Highlander opened June 22nd
with 132 boys arriving for the summer.
Part of the boys came in the morning and
at*1:30, 100 boys came in by bus from
the train in Tocooa.
An interesting thing happened on
the train up from Louisiana. One of the
boys had a pair of handcuffs and no key
for them. Eventually two of the boys
became locked together and couldn*t get
unlocked. A policeman in Mobile, Alaba
ma boarded the train and unlocked them.
The trip continued without incident un
til one of the boys was left on the
train in Toccoa because he was saying

LIBRARY SILVER TEA
Highlands Inn was the setting on
Wednesday of last week for the Hudson
Library Silver Tea.
The newly remodeled and refiimi sh
ed lounge was decorated with artistic
flower arrangements featuring mountain
laurel, roses and peonies. On the tea
table was a lovely center piece of del
phiniums, pinks and colimbine.
Assisting in greeting the guests
and presiding at the tea table were: Mrs.
Thomas H. lyson, Mrs. Ptank B. Cook, Miss
Georgia Kennerly, Mrs. D. P. MacGregor,
