THE GALAX NEWS jwm 301 I960 PAGE 2 Fair of the Four Seasons Donations of books, either hard cover or pocket edition, are being asked for by the Book Table at the Fair of the Four Seasons, sponsored by the Hospital Auxiliary, Magazines will be acceptable too, if they are of the reference type rather than the timely ones that will be out of date by the time the Fair is held- -July 22 and 23rd. Horticulture. Anti que s« National Geographic are the type that will sell rather than Life. Time or Newsweek> So far as books are concerned, the need is for new ones, either novels or non-fiction. Old, little-read editions that have proven themselves imappealing to an owner are apt to prove the same to a buyer at the Fair. But donations of good, readable . books will be highly acceptable. You will be helping your Library and also your Hospital, HCH WOMAN’S AUXILIARY TO MEET JULY 7 The monthly meeting of the Highlands Community Hospital Woman’s Auxiliary will be held on July 7 at the Satulah Room. The hours are from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m, and all women in the community who are inter ested in the hospital are invited to at tend the meeting. Ambulance is Used Within the week the Highlands ambulance made three essential runs which proves its necessity to the town. Two patients were brought to the Highlands Community Hospital by this ambulance, and one patient was transferred from our hos pital to Lexington, Kentucky by way of the Highlands ambulance, EASTERN STAR NEWS The regular meeting of the Highlands Chapter 284j Order of the Eastern Star, was held Monday night, June 27, in the be held at Oce Chapter in Dillsbora, July 13th. Reception Honors Hiss DuPree Miss Peggy Dupree of Tamassee, S.C. and her fiance, Mr. Robert Lane of Cam den, Alabama, were homored with an infor- mial reception given by Mrs. Steve Potts and Mrs. Sidney McCarty on Sunday after noon. The event was held in the recreation room of the Presbyterian Church with Mrs. Tudor Hall and Mrs. Otto Summer greeting guests as they arrived. A lovely floral arrangement of snap dragons was used as a centerpiece on the tea table. The guests were served de lightful refreshments of iced and decora ted tea cakes, cookies, nuts and mints, and delicious fruit punch. Those assisting the hostesses were: Mrs. Alan Lewis, Mrs. Louie Edwards, and Mss Margaret Mitchell, Miss DuPree and Mr. Lane will be married in the Chapel of the D. A. R. School at Tamassee at 4 o’clock on July 30th,
