up a study group, including the secre
taries of the interior and agriculture,

way problems would be involved in the ex
tension, Taylor said.
Before reaching the House floor,
Taylor*s bill received approval by the
House Interior Committee. It had also
been given indorsement by Secretary of
liiterior, Stewart Udall and Secretary of
Agriculture, Orville Freeman.
The aid of the Agriculture Dept, was
enlisted because a large portion of the
extended Parkway would pass through Na
tional Forest Service land, controlled by
that department, said Rep. Taylor*

ticularly timely because the original
parkway is now virtiaally completed. «
