Leann Gardner is at Bill's Soda Shopj Jessie Harbison is assistant editor on the GALAX NEV7Sj John Norton, Jack Calloway, Carolyn Houston, Barbara Talley, and Ronnie Reese will be working at Highlands Cleaners and Laundryj Marion Watson is receptionist at Highlands Community Hospital; Rosa Lee Webb and Katherine Prince will be doing work in private homes; Mrs* Anne Reese Wilson is employed at Highlands Chamber of Commerce; Wilma Wilson and Judy Wood will go to Wal- halla, S* C. and VJhittier, N. C* where they will work; Steve Nix and Tommy White will leave for Clayton, Ga* and Gastonia, N* C* where they id.ll hold jobs; Robert Miller and John Kahler will caddy and do yard work; Larry Wood will be going to Richmond, Va. where he will work with his brother doing construction work* Course c-offers-^opportunity to play on the 9 hole, par 3 course. Shady Lane Mlniaturo Golf Course gives; fun for *’old and young alike.” Both are now open &r the summer* New Business Opens Mr* James Crawford, originally from Itophy, N* C«, has opened his new busi ness office, the Crawford Patrol Service. It is located on main street next to the HIGHLANDER office in the old Edwa3?ds building. Mr* Crawford moved here re cently, and will be joined later by his wife, Evelyn, and two daughters, Martha and Carla. They plan to be year around residents in Highlands. Mr, Crawford was formerly a highway patrolman in California before coming to Highlands. Mr* and Mrs* Robert Barrett of VJash- ington, D.
