Miss Cabe will be attending summer school at West ern Carolina this summer, and will com plete requirements for graduation early next year. For the past two summers, Miss Cabe has been Co-Editor of the Ga lax News, and has written many beautiful poems and interesting features for our paper. Throughout the summer, we hope tu publish some more of her works. The following is a poem submitted by Miss Cabe: NO-ONE I am alone. I am always alone. My heart cries out, My hand reaches out But grows still in empitness. I climb a hill A never-ending hiU, Struggling to reach the heights The hazy, intangible heights But my feet falter in uncertainty. I turn, I run, I reach a level plain. An unknown fragrance fills the air I strive to inhale. To fill my being With wisps of nothingness... What is real? What is unreal In the floating shadows of life? What do we seek? Where are we running and why? I am alone. But not alone My struggle is timeless. Each solitary soul cries out Within a tightening net Tangled inextricably in confusion. The soul of man knows no-one.
