Asheville Presbytery's Council, of which
he is a member, last Monday. The Presby
tery Council is an executive committee
charged with the responsibility of cer
tain fiscal matters of the Presbytery*
The meeting was held in Asheville, N« C*

presented to the Hudson Libreury by the
author. Copies of Dr* Ewing*s previous

HOSPITAL FUND DRIVE POSTERS OUT
Posters to show the progress of HCH
Fund Drive are being placed throughout
town. These posters carry the theme
“Give Life to the Hospital Tree,’* and
centers around a pine tree with a scale
running from the bottom of the tree at
^0,000 to the top of the tree with
|60,000, the goal fcr the Drive this year.
As the donations come in, the scale will
be colored red to the point that indi
cates the current amount. As illustrated,
“every dollar counts—every leaf gives
life.»
HIGHLANDS ROTARY CLUB NEWS
Tuesday evening was the installa
tion ser^/ice of the Highlands Rotary
Club for the 1962-1963 year. Mr. Les
Misener, Vice-President, officiated and
installed the following officerss Mr.
Richard Harrison, 1962-1963 Treasurer,
Rev. Dan McCall, incoming Secretary, and
Mr. Ellison Magruder, incoming President.
The Club’s new directors are Mr* Clarence
Mitchell, Mr* Wilton Cobb, and Mr* Bill
McCall5 Sergeant at Arms is Mr* Richard
Rawls, and Assistant Sergeants at Arms
is Mr* Don Peterson*
The Club's goal for the coming
year is for the betterment of the Club,
attendance, and community relations*
Those were honored by the new Pres
ident for their outstanding work were:
Mr* John H. C. Perry, who has served as
Vice-President for the past three years|
Mr* Richard Harrison, who has been Trea
surer for the past three years, and whose
attendance record has been one hundred
per cent for the past eight years? ^5r•
Clarence Mitchell, who has been present
at every meeting for the past sixteen
years; Mr* Dick Rawls who has done a
fine job on the weekly programs, and as
Sergeant at Armsj Mr* Lloyd W* Wise,
who has served as program chairman for
