"THE PLEASURE OF HIS CCMPANT*
Hollywood* s Edith Head, holder of
seven "Oscars" for costume design, creat
ed an extensive feminine wardrobe for the
Technicolor romanic comedy, "The Pleasure
of His Company," She fashioned thirty-
two ensembles for Debbie Reynolds, as a
bride-to-be, and twenty-three outfits for
Lilli Palmer, as the mother if the bride.
Under the terms of her Paramount contract,
Debbie Reynolds was able to keep the
^^>,000 wedding gown, one of the creations
by Miss Head, She has stored it away for
the future use of her daughter Carrie,
now aged five. Also starring with Miss
Reynolds and Miss Palmer in the motion
picture are Fred Astaire as Pogo Poole,
father of the bride and Miss Palmer* s ex-
wife, and Tab Hunter, a young cattle
rancher, who is Debbie's fiance.
