Ihls occupies a tract of land adjoining the Museum and Laboratory buildings, where work is under way to assemble and pre serve an outstanding collection of living exaii5)les of the trees, shrubs and herba^ clous plants of the Highlands area. They are aided by a shanghaied ex-Navy officer, who man ages to bring them through such near-dis asters as a hurricane, a fire, Kovacs* kookie "cutie" who is along for the cruise, a mutiny, and just about everything else that can happen, so long as it happens hec tically and hilarious! ■;* Robert Wagner is delightful as the in ept young man shanghaied Kovacs, along with his prim fiancee, Dolores Hart, And it is Wagner and Miss Hart who, after sur viving the many hazards which beset the crooked ship and her nitwit crew, finally wrangle Kovacs and company into a major naval battle—-with the Coast Guard, They do it by using one of Miss Hart’s more e- lastio \indergarments as a provocative sling shot, no lessl Carolyn Jones is the "cutie" in the case, a girl who knows she looks good in a bathing suit, perfectly willing to give lessons In the fine art of man-handling, Frankie Avalon, the recording artist, sings two tunes in the course of the film, but this is not half so important as the fact that he plays the Captain^s nephew who wants to join the Navy some day, and wel comes this chance to get in a little sea duty.
