Car ^^Runs Away^^
On Monday afternoon of this week, a
1962 Buick station wagon took a ”trip'* of
its own accord* Mrs* Eugene Thomasson of
Greenwood, S* C* had parked her car in
front of the Highlands Drug Store when she
went to have her hair done at Sylvia's
Beauty Salon. In the car were her two pTnall
children and her mother-in-law* Somehow,
the car was shifted out of the “park” gear
by one of the children, and it rolled down
the hill, ran into the side of Jellen»s
Gem Shop, and then across the street into
the telephone pole in front of the Blue
Moon Gift Shop, where it finally came to
a stop*
No one in the car was hurt, and damage
to the car was minor* There was no daj&-
age to the engine, but the back fender
was bent, and the back of the car was
bent in*
Mrs* Thomasson and her family and ii>-
laws have just coB5)leted a new home on
the Sapphire Valley golf course grounds
in Cashiers*
