MIRROR LAKE DAM IS OUT
An abrupt change has taken place in the
lovely Mirror Lake sectioa—that being that
the lake is gonel The dam, having been in
poor condition for some time, has broken,
and all the water, except a tiny trickle,
has vanished*
2his situation is bad, not only be
cause summer and local residents, and tour
ists miss the lake for its beauty and re
creation, but also because the Lake provides
a big tourist attraction during the winter
with its ice-skating*
It is hoped that the dam can be com^
pletely re-bullt wit|iin the next year. Plans
were initiated by Mr. Clyde Bolt, Sr*and
Mr* H« E* Glenn for a survey and estimate
to determine the cost of a new dam» Some
of those living in the Lake area have con
tributed toward this project^ and thus a
fund has been started. Others interested
are invited to share in the expense of res
toring the scenic Mirror Lake*
