Mr, Mason was admitted to High lands Community Hospital with back injuries and for observation, and Miss Julian Thorn, 14, of Lafayette, La,, was also admitted for observation. Other passengers in the car were William Kalher, 17, of Albany, Ga., and Miss Katherine Johnson, 1^, of New Orleans, who were treated for lacera tions and then released. The accident oc curred on U, S, highway 6^’ just west of Highlands, RT, REV. BROWN TO PREACH IN CASHIERS The Rt, Rev, Robert R, Brown, Bishop of Arkansas, one of the finest preachers in the Episcopal Church today, is holding ser vices during August in The Church of the Good Shepherd in Cashiers, Bishop Brown will preach at 11 a.m, on Sunday, August IQth^ The Rt, Rev, M, George Henry, Bish op of Western North Carolina, will have his annual visitation and will preach at 11 a,m, on Sunday, August 26th, The Rev* Van B, Davis, Rector of St, Christopher's Church, Pensacola, Florida, will hold ser vices in the Cashiers Church during the month of September, Hill to Exhibit Portraits An exhibit of children’s portraits will be held Monday through Saturday of next week at the Carriage Wheel Gift Shop, The oil and pastel portraits will be ex hibited by Aileen Ser Hill of Orlando, Fla,, and Highlands. Mrs. Hill has stud ied at the Ringling School of Art in Sara sota, Fla., the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia, and with Mr. Robert Brackman, N, A, She has sponsored a number of one-man shows, several of which have been in Highlands, and has ex hibited in the National and International shows, the Southeastern Show and the Flori da Federation Shows, She has won numerous awards, and her portraits are seen in pri vate collections throughout the United States, Mrs, Hill*s exhibit is open to the public and all are cordially invited to attend—-so why not make it a point to drop in and enjoy the portraits.
