Mr. and Mrs. Norman Wede kind and their five children from Deland, Fla* are spending 10 days at Spring Lake* SCOUTS EARN MERIT BADGES Boy Scout Troop 20? had its senior advancement camp on August 20-21 at Rich Mountain, just off the Flat Mountain Road, The purpose of this camp was to earn the cooking merit badge. The first class scouts who went on the trip were: Jimmy Crawford, Jr., Bob by Rice, Jr., Kurt Shuler, Eddie Potts, Jr., and Buddy Harris. Assisting Scout master E, C, Magruder was an Ea^e Scout, Mr, Kent Densing, of Oxford Miss, All of these first class scouts passed the re quirements for the cooking badge. Scoutmaster Magruder stated that he would like to commend the five scouts who received the badges "with warm congratula tions on a job well done,” In the near future the whole scout troop will be going on their monthly camp ing trip.
